Become a Host

Turn your computer into a node on the decentralized AI network

Run open language models on hardware you already own and help route AI away from a handful of data centers and back to people. Setup takes minutes — you stay in control of your machine the whole time.

Windows macOS Linux
Why Host

Your idle compute is worth something

Every modern computer can run capable AI models. PeerLLM turns that unused capacity into part of a shared, community-owned network — instead of letting it sit idle.

Decentralize AI

Be one of the nodes that keeps AI open and distributed, rather than concentrated in a few corporate data centers.

Share in the upside

As the network grows and routes paid traffic, hosts that serve requests can share in it. Earnings are early and not guaranteed — see the honest note below.

Stay in control

You choose which models to run and when your machine participates. Nothing runs without your account signed in and your host approved.

Minutes to start

Install the host app, sign in, download a model, and you're ready. No servers to configure, no networking to set up.

What You Need

Requirements

PeerLLM runs on everyday hardware. The more capable your machine, the larger the models it can serve — but you can start with what you have today.

Operating System
Windows, macOS, or Linux

A 64-bit desktop or laptop. The download page detects your OS and recommends the right installer.

Memory
8 GB RAM minimum

16 GB or more lets you run larger, higher-quality models and serve more requests.

Accelerator
GPU or Apple Silicon recommended

A dedicated GPU or an Apple M-series chip dramatically increases the models and throughput you can offer. CPU-only also works.

Connectivity
A steady internet connection

The network reaches you to route requests. The more available your host stays, the more it can serve.

Getting Started

Join the network in five steps

Thank you for helping build a more open, distributed AI ecosystem. Here's the full path from sign-up to serving live traffic.

1

Create your account

Register at hosts.peerllm.com/register and verify your email. Once verified, sign in to reach your Host Dashboard.

2

Download the host app

In the Software section of your dashboard, download the build for your operating system. The site auto-detects whether you're on Windows, macOS, or Linux and recommends the correct installer.

3

Install and sign in

Run the installer, launch the PeerLLM host app, and sign in with the same account you created on the website. Your machine then registers itself as a host.

4

Prepare your local models

While your host is reviewed, get it ready to serve:

  • Use the + button in the LLM section to download and install local models.
  • Test them with Local Chat to confirm everything runs smoothly.
  • Review GPU info and logs so your host is fully ready the moment it joins.
5

Get approved & go live

A short review confirms machine authenticity and intent. Once approved, your Orchestrator Status turns green and your compute becomes discoverable — ready to serve users across the PeerLLM network worldwide.

An honest note on earnings

PeerLLM is an early, growing network. Hosting is first and foremost a way to contribute to decentralized AI — not a guaranteed income source. Network demand is still ramping up, and how much traffic any individual host serves varies.

Where payments are enabled, they are discretionary and usage-based, may be zero, and your operating costs (electricity, hardware) may exceed any earnings. Please join because you believe in an open AI ecosystem — and treat any earnings as upside, not a promise.

Full details are in the Host Agreement.
